VÁRZEA DO RANCHINHO

Lei n° 1.840/99 Localizado ao norte com área de 3.064 metros quadrados, é o bairro mais afastado do centro e faz divisa com o município de Itajaí, regiăo com apenas 104 habitantes, o nome Várzea denomina-se por terras férteis as margens de riacho onde um fugitivo da guerra do Paraguai construiu um rancho e com o objetivo de identificar o local era por costume dizer "lá na várzea do ranchinho". Hoje os moradores cultivam hortifruti e comercializam na feira - livre do centro da cidade, existe apenas uma escola de ensino fundamental.
